Florencia Varas is a Chilean journalist. She was cultural attaché in the UK from 1990 to 1994 and is a former correspondent for the London Times and Sunday Times newspapers. She is also the author of several books, among others "Coup!" published by Stein & Day, New York, 1974, about the military coup in Chile. "Amor y Desesperanza", and "Pisadas en la Arena".
